“Seize The Day, Every Day!”

“Seize the day, every day.” ~ John M. Di Fazio II

We’ve all heard the famous quote, “Seize the day,” or in Latin, “Carpe Diem.” But how many of us actually apply it? Perhaps some of us do for a brief moment, some for a day, a week, a month… Moments are fleeting. We have a brief and finite time of physical existence in this world. I, myself have a passion for life, especially in the season of Summer, but even I fall short to seize the day every single day. We all have distractions and busy work that takes our eye off of the ball. That’s all it takes to derail the plans that we have. That is why it is so important to reflect upon each day, and begin each day with enthusiasm and a drive that can at least make an attempt to be productive, focused on goals & dreams, while engaged in the present moment as well.

This type of focus requires a consistent approach that resets our thinking each day. If we can take control of our thinking and our behavior, we can do the simple task of waking with enthusiasm and a plan for the day. We can outline the things we would like to accomplish in a day. I recommend no more than 3 tasks. It’s a reasonable number of tasks that doesn’t overwhelm our ability to achieve them. If we can create this kind of good habit, great things will occur and become great habits that take hold of who we are. Day by day, we’ll achieve our goals, accomplish our tasks, and fulfill our dreams. Every dream is different, and some take longer than others to fulfill, but if we do a little bit each day, we really are seizing the day on a daily basis. Think of how rewarding it will be to set a goal and achieve it.

So, let’s outline some of our endeavors. Let’s focus on those 3 tasks for each day. Let’s take hold of our brief moment here, and be able to look back on this moment next August and say, “Look how much we’ve accomplished!!!”

Every day counts!!!

Have an amazing August & a wonderful rest of the Summer!!!

Until next month,

~ John D.
