Staying Positive in a Negative World

Here we are, bombarded with opinions from media outlets, politicians, social media, family, friends, & even strangers. Everyone is standing on a pedestal, shouting what’s on their mind. How is one to quiet the mind & focus on the positive? I really don’t know. We’re at a new place and time, existing in a foreign atmosphere and trying to find the oxygen amongst the other “hot air”, LOL, that’s being spewed about.

Turn it off. Tune it out. Don’t engage the negativity. Just breathe. Quiet your mind. Focus on the things that are important to you. Family, friends, & Faith come first. Begin there. Focus your positive energy on them. They need you. What good is entering the fray, engaging in discussions to those whose minds are closed, whose ears are sealed, and whose mouths are wide open? It doesn’t solve anything. You will rarely change an opinion, even when presenting clear & coherent facts.

So, let it go. Let them go. Live, and let live. You & I have more positive things to concern ourselves with. We have goals to achieve, dreams to fulfill, and the creation of our good, positive visions in which we can make a reality of all that we seek. I don’t have all the answers in this new world. I’m just a traveler like you. But we are adaptive enough to know that volatile people will not get us to where we want to travel to on this journey. So seek the oxygen of positivity & breathe it in deeply. Breathe out the negativity of this world, and stay on this path with me. Let’s see all the possibility that lies ahead for us, & focus on that. Sure, we’ll hear the occasional yelling from the sidelines, but we have places to go & important things to accomplish. Be positive.

Until next month,

I hope that this new year is filled with great joy & blessings for you all. We were definitely blessed with a mild January, which shortened the Winter a little. 47 more days until Spring!!! We can endure that! Let’s focus on achieving some great health & fitness goals for that 1st day of Spring! ~ John D.

P.S. Be positive!
