Summer Sunset

As the sun sets on Summer once again, let us think about returning to form. It’s always a good time of the year to get structured in our lives and take the time to refocus, to recharge, & to reset. The BBQ’s & parties are over. The kids are beginning school. The lax feel of Summer is at a close. I know, it’s sad for me too, because Summer is my favorite season, & we felt pretty jipped this year. It was definitely the rainiest Summer that I can remember, & of course, most of the rain occurred on the weekends. Oh well, it’s a new time of year, and we can focus on the positives such as getting organized with life & organized with our day-to-day Meal Plans. Viewing this time of year as a time to return to priorities allows us to really get back on track. We’re only 3 months away from Thanksgiving & then it’s on to Christmas after that. Many people gain weight throughout the Holiday Season, so a good way to approach September is to set a goal within the time frame of now until Thanksgiving. (It’s not to say that you’ll go hog-wild on Thanksgiving Day, but it helps to have some parameters.) Three months is a perfect time frame for goal setting.

So, let’s try to accomplish a reasonable weight loss & body fat loss in that time. On average, clients on my Meal Plan will see a 2-3 pound weight loss per week, or an average of 10-12 pounds per month, along with a monthly loss of roughly 2% body fat. So, in that time frame we can see a thirty- thirty-six pound weight loss, & a 6% body fat loss. That will put you in a very good place by the Holiday Season. Now, not everyone has 30 pounds to lose, but sometimes it just feels good to eat clean for periods of time without veering from the plan, especially if you had been indulging with frequency over the Summer.
